أعلنت وزارة الشباب والرياضة المصرية نتيجة التحقيق في شكوى تقدمت بها إحدى أولياء الأمور، أفادت فيها باستبعاد نجلها من اختبارات كرة القدم في نادي الاتحاد السكندري بسبب اسمه.
وزعمت والدة اللاعب أن نادي الاتحاد السكندري رفض قبول نجلها، الذي يُدعى «مكاري يونان»، في اختبارات كرة القدم بسبب اسمه، ما دفع وزارة الشباب والرياضة إلى التحرك الفوري للتحقق من صحة الواقعة.
ثبوت مخالفة المدرب
وقالت الوزارة المصرية في بيان رسمي: «استجابة لتوجيهات وزير الشباب والرياضة جوهر نبيل بسرعة فحص ما أُثير حول شكوى والدة اللاعب مكاري يونان، بشأن استبعاده من اختبارات كرة القدم بنادي الاتحاد السكندري بسبب اسمه، شُكِّلت لجنة من مديرية الشباب والرياضة بمحافظة الإسكندرية؛ لتقصي حقيقة الواقعة والوقوف على جميع ملابساتها، وقد باشرت اللجنة أعمالها، واستمعت إلى أقوال عدد من شهود الواقعة، وانتهت إلى ثبوت ارتكاب المدرب المختص تلك المخالفة».
إحالة الواقعة إلى النيابة
وأضاف البيان: «وفي ضوء ذلك، جرى التوجيه إلى نادي الاتحاد السكندري بسرعة اتخاذ إجراءات التحقيق مع المدرب المشار إليه، وتوقيع الجزاء المناسب بحقه، مع موافاة الوزارة بنتيجة التحقيق والجزاءات الموقعة، وذلك خلال مدة لا تتجاوز 48 ساعة، كما تقرر إحالة الواقعة إلى النيابة العامة لاتخاذ إجراءاتها وفقاً لأحكام القانون».
عدم التهاون مع أي تمييز
وتابع: «تؤكد وزارة الشباب والرياضة أن اختبارات الناشئين والأنشطة الرياضية يجب أن تُدار وفقاً لمبادئ النزاهة والشفافية وتكافؤ الفرص، وأن حصول النشء والشباب على فرص عادلة لممارسة الرياضة واكتشاف مواهبهم حق أصيل، لا يجوز المساس به تحت أي ظرف أو لأي سبب، كما تشدد الوزارة على أنها لن تتهاون مع أي مخالفة تمس العدالة أو تكافؤ الفرص، أو تنطوي على أي صورة من صور التمييز داخل الهيئات الرياضية والشبابية».
وأشار البيان إلى أن الوزارة ستتخذ بكل حسم الإجراءات القانونية والإدارية المقررة، بما في ذلك توقيع أقصى الجزاءات التي تجيزها اللوائح، والتي قد تصل إلى الإيقاف والمنع من العمل داخل أي هيئة رياضية أو شبابية، وذلك بحسب جسامة المخالفة وما تسفر عنه التحقيقات.
إعلان العقوبة بعد انتهاء التحقيقات
وختم البيان: «كما ستُحال الوقائع المماثلة إلى النيابة العامة متى كشفت التحقيقات شبهة ارتكاب جريمة معاقب عليها قانوناً. وسيُعلن الجزاء الموقع على المدرب فور الانتهاء من التحقيق، تأكيداً لنهج الوزارة في الشفافية والمساءلة، وصوناً لحقوق جميع أبناء الوطن دون تمييز».
The Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports announced the result of the investigation into a complaint filed by a parent, stating that her son was excluded from football trials at Al-Ittihad Club in Alexandria due to his name.
The player's mother claimed that Al-Ittihad Club refused to accept her son, named "Makari Younan," in the football trials because of his name, prompting the Ministry of Youth and Sports to take immediate action to verify the validity of the incident.
Proven Violation by the Coach
The Egyptian ministry stated in an official statement: "In response to the directives of the Minister of Youth and Sports, Jawhar Nabil, to quickly examine the allegations raised regarding the complaint of the mother of player Makari Younan about his exclusion from the football trials at Al-Ittihad Club due to his name, a committee was formed from the Youth and Sports Directorate in Alexandria to investigate the truth of the incident and to understand all its circumstances. The committee began its work, listened to the testimonies of several witnesses to the incident, and concluded that the coach in question had committed that violation."
Referral of the Incident to the Prosecution
The statement added: "In light of this, instructions were given to Al-Ittihad Club to quickly take investigative measures against the mentioned coach and impose the appropriate penalties on him, while informing the ministry of the results of the investigation and the penalties imposed, within a period not exceeding 48 hours. It was also decided to refer the incident to the Public Prosecution to take its measures in accordance with the provisions of the law."
No Tolerance for Any Discrimination
The statement continued: "The Ministry of Youth and Sports emphasizes that youth trials and sports activities must be conducted according to the principles of integrity, transparency, and equal opportunities, and that young people should have fair opportunities to practice sports and discover their talents, which is an inherent right that cannot be compromised under any circumstances or for any reason. The ministry also stresses that it will not tolerate any violation that affects justice or equal opportunities, or involves any form of discrimination within sports and youth organizations."
The statement indicated that the ministry will decisively take the legal and administrative measures prescribed, including imposing the maximum penalties allowed by the regulations, which may include suspension and prohibition from working within any sports or youth organization, depending on the severity of the violation and the outcomes of the investigations.
Announcement of the Penalty After the Investigations Conclude
The statement concluded: "Similar incidents will also be referred to the Public Prosecution whenever the investigations reveal suspicion of a legally punishable crime. The penalty imposed on the coach will be announced immediately after the investigation concludes, affirming the ministry's approach to transparency and accountability, and safeguarding the rights of all citizens without discrimination."
