الأزمة بدأت خلف الكواليس كمشروع استثماري ضخم، ثم تحولت سريعاً إلى معركة كسر عظم سياسية هددت بالإطاحة برأس الهرم الكروي وعزله دولياً.

المخطط السري: محاولة «خصخصة» المونديال بـ20 ملياراً

بدأت الشرارة الأولى للأزمة عقب تسريب تفاصيل مشروع سري يحمل اسم (FIFA Forward Enterprise). المخطط كان يهدف إلى إنشاء شركة تجارية مستقلة تابعة للمنظمة الدولية برأس مال يُقدر بـ20 مليار دولار، وتتولى إدارة الحقوق التجارية، التسويقية، وحقوق البث التلفزيوني لكأس العالم والبطولات الكبرى.

وفقاً للتسريبات، تضمّن المشروع بيع حصة أقلية تصل إلى 20% (ما يعادل 4.2 مليار دولار) لصناديق استثمار أمريكية خاصة. ورغم أن إنفانتينو حاول إغراء الاتحادات الوطنية الـ211 بوعد يقضي بمنح كل اتحاد مبلغ 20 مليون دولار لتطوير اللعبة، إلا أن الصفقة اعتُبرت خطوة غير مسبوقة نحو «خصخصة اللعبة الأكثر شعبية في العالم».

انتفاضة القارات: «الكارت الأحمر» في وجه إنفانتينو

لم يتأخر الرد القاري، حيث قاد الاتحاد الأوروبي (يويفا) بقيادة جبهة رفض صارمة حظيت بإجماع أعضائه الـ55. واعتبر الأوروبيون أن تحويل المونديال إلى «سلعة استثمارية مملوكة لجهات خاصة» هو تدمير لإرث اللعبة وتجاوز خطير لآليات الحوكمة والشفافية.

وسرعان ما اتسعت جبهة الرفض لتبتلع مخططات (الفيفا)؛ حيث انضم اتحاد أمريكا الشمالية والوسطى والكاريبي (كونكاكاف) والاتحاد الآسيوي لكرة القدم إلى جبهة المقاطعة. وهددت القارات الثلاث مجتمعة بـمقاطعة بطولات كأس العالم القادمة؛ وهو التهديد الذي كان سيعني عملياً انهيار المنظومة الكروية الدولية ووفاة المونديال إكلينيكياً.

التراجع الاضطراري والانشقاق الداخلي

أمام شبكة المقاطعة الدولية الصلبة والضغوط غير المسبوقة، اضطر جياني إنفانتينو إلى إعلان إلغاء وسحب مشروع الاستثمار الخاص نهائياً في محاولة لتهدئة العاصفة.

- أزمة التأشيرات الدولية: تعرّض الفيفا لانتقادات حادة أظهرت ضعف سيادته أمام شروط الهجرة الأمريكية، وذلك بعد منع السلطات في الولايات المتحدة للحكم الصومالي عمر أرتان من دخول أراضيها لإدارة المباريات.

- عقوبات انضباطية مشتعلة: فتح الاتحاد الدولي تحقيقات تأديبية واسعة ضد لاعبي ومساعدي مدرب منتخب الأرجنتين، على خلفية اشتباكات عنيفة واعتداءات أعقبت خسارتهم لنهائي المونديال الأخير أمام منتخب إسبانيا.

انتخابات 2027: هل انتهى عهد إنفانتينو؟

تضع هذه الأزمات المتلاحقة جياني إنفانتينو في الموقف الأضعف له منذ توليه رئاسة الفيفا عام 2016. ومع إعلان الكتل القارية الكبرى رفع الغطاء السياسي عنه، باتت حظوظه في الترشح والفوز بولاية رابعة خلال الانتخابات المقررة في مارس 2027 مهددة بشكل حقيقي.

The plan aimed to establish an independent commercial company affiliated with the international organization, with an estimated capital of $20 billion, responsible for managing the commercial rights, marketing, and broadcasting rights for the World Cup and major tournaments.

According to the leaks, the project included selling a minority stake of up to 20% (equivalent to $4.2 billion) to private American investment funds. Although Infantino attempted to entice the 211 national federations with a promise to grant each federation $20 million to develop the game, the deal was considered an unprecedented step towards "privatizing the most popular sport in the world."

The privatization crisis was merely the straw that broke the camel's back, as FIFA is facing accumulated pressures resulting from issues accompanying the last edition of the 2026 World Cup:

- Ethical and Political Criticism: Infantino faced accusations of violating the political neutrality stipulated in FIFA's regulations due to his excessive closeness to U.S. President Donald Trump, prompting former FIFA President Sepp Blatter to break his silence and attack the current administration, asserting that the World Cup "has lost its credibility."

- International Visa Crisis: FIFA faced sharp criticism revealing its weakness against U.S. immigration conditions, after U.S. authorities barred Somali referee Omar Artan from entering the country to officiate matches.

- Escalating Disciplinary Sanctions: FIFA opened wide disciplinary investigations against players and assistants of the Argentine national team following violent clashes and assaults after their loss in the last World Cup final against Spain.

2027 Elections: Has Infantino's Era Ended?

These successive crises have placed Gianni Infantino in his weakest position since assuming the presidency of FIFA in 2016. With major continental blocs announcing the lifting of political cover from him, his chances of running and winning a fourth term in the elections scheduled for March 2027 are genuinely threatened.
