شنّ الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب هجومًا حادًا على النظام الانتخابي في الولايات المتحدة، معلنًا رفع السرية عن وثائق استخبارية قال إنها تكشف ما وصفه بـ«تدخلات صينية واسعة» وثغرات خطيرة في البنية التحتية للانتخابات الأمريكية، مؤكدًا أن نزاهة الانتخابات تمثل الركيزة الأساسية لأي دولة تسعى إلى الحفاظ على مكانتها.
وثائق استخبارية بعد رفع السرية
وقال ترمب إنه قرر رفع السرية بشكل فوري عن معلومات استخبارية «حاسمة»، تتضمن -بحسب قوله- أدلة على هشاشة أنظمة التصويت الإلكتروني وسهولة تعرضها للاختراق، مضيفًا أن الوثائق تكشف تعرض النظام الانتخابي الأمريكي لتدخلات أجنبية «بمستويات غير مسبوقة».
وأشار إلى أن هذه المعلومات ظلت طي الكتمان لسنوات، متعهدًا بنشرها كاملة للرأي العام، في خطوة قال إنها تهدف إلى تعزيز الشفافية واستعادة الثقة في العملية الانتخابية.
اتهامات مباشرة للصين
واتهم ترمب الصين بتنفيذ «أكبر عملية اختراق وسرقة لبيانات الانتخابات في التاريخ»، مؤكدًا أن العملية بدأت عام 2020، وأن بكين أنشأت وحدة خاصة لاستغلال بيانات الناخبين الأمريكيين المسروقة واستخدامها في أنشطة تخريبية.
وأضاف أن تقارير الاستخبارات تشير إلى أن الحزب الشيوعي الصيني تبنى منذ عام 2018 سياسة تستهدف دعم أي طرف معارض له، والعمل على التأثير في انتخابات التجديد النصفي والانتخابات الرئاسية لعام 2020.
كما زعم أن معلومات خام حصل عليها مكتب التحقيقات الفيدرالي (FBI) عام 2020 تشير إلى محاولة صينية لتصنيع بطاقات اقتراع غير قانونية لصالح الرئيس السابق جو بايدن.
اتهامات لـ«الدولة العميقة»
وذهب ترمب إلى اتهام عناصر داخل أجهزة الاستخبارات الأمريكية بالتستر على التدخل الصيني، قائلاً إن الوثائق تكشف تورط ما وصفها بـ«الدولة العميقة» في إخفاء معلومات تتعلق بالقضية.
وأضاف أن مسؤولة في مكتب التحقيقات الفيدرالي اعترفت -وفقًا للوثائق- بإدارة «حكومة ظل» لمنع تسريب تقارير التدخل الصيني إلى وسائل الإعلام.
وأكد ترمب أن تقييمات أجهزة الاستخبارات الأمريكية تشير إلى امتلاك كل من روسيا والصين وإيران وكوريا الشمالية، إلى جانب جهات غير حكومية، قدرات تمكنها من اختراق البنية الانتخابية الأمريكية.
وأشار أيضًا إلى أن وثائق وكالة الاستخبارات المركزية (CIA) تتحدث عن محاولات صينية لاستغلال علاقاتها مع شركات أمريكية كبرى للتحريض ضده، إلى جانب السعي لاستقطاب صحفيين أمريكيين لكتابة تقارير سلبية بحقه مقابل دعم مالي، بهدف التأثير في نتائج الانتخابات.
دعوة لإصلاح النظام الانتخابي
وشدد ترمب على أن الولايات المتحدة «لا يمكن أن تكون دولة عظيمة ما لم تكن انتخاباتها نزيهة»، مؤكدًا أن إدارته تسعى إلى بناء منظومة انتخابية أكثر أمنًا، تجعل عمليات الغش أو التدخل الخارجي «أمرًا مستحيلًا».
U.S. President Donald Trump launched a sharp attack on the electoral system in the United States, announcing the declassification of intelligence documents that he said reveal what he described as "widespread Chinese interference" and serious vulnerabilities in the infrastructure of American elections, asserting that the integrity of elections is the fundamental pillar of any country seeking to maintain its status.
Intelligence Documents After Declassification
Trump stated that he decided to immediately declassify "crucial" intelligence information, which includes - according to him - evidence of the fragility of electronic voting systems and their susceptibility to hacking, adding that the documents reveal that the American electoral system has been subjected to foreign interference "at unprecedented levels."
He noted that this information had been kept secret for years, pledging to publish it in full for public opinion, in a move he said aims to enhance transparency and restore trust in the electoral process.
Direct Accusations Against China
Trump accused China of executing "the largest hacking and data theft operation in election history," asserting that the operation began in 2020, and that Beijing established a special unit to exploit stolen American voter data and use it for subversive activities.
He added that intelligence reports indicate that the Chinese Communist Party has adopted a policy since 2018 aimed at supporting any opposing party and working to influence the midterm elections and the 2020 presidential elections.
He also claimed that raw information obtained by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in 2020 indicates a Chinese attempt to manufacture illegal ballots in favor of former President Joe Biden.
Accusations Against the "Deep State"
Trump went on to accuse elements within U.S. intelligence agencies of covering up Chinese interference, stating that the documents reveal the involvement of what he described as the "deep state" in concealing information related to the issue.
He added that an official in the FBI admitted - according to the documents - to managing a "shadow government" to prevent the leaking of reports on Chinese interference to the media.
Trump confirmed that assessments from U.S. intelligence agencies indicate that Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea, along with non-governmental entities, possess capabilities that enable them to penetrate the American electoral infrastructure.
He also pointed out that documents from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) discuss Chinese attempts to exploit their relationships with major American companies to incite against him, as well as efforts to recruit American journalists to write negative reports about him in exchange for financial support, with the aim of influencing election outcomes.
Call for Electoral System Reform
Trump emphasized that the United States "cannot be a great nation unless its elections are fair," asserting that his administration seeks to build a more secure electoral system that makes cheating or foreign interference "impossible."
