أكد وزير الدفاع الأمير خالد بن سلمان أن اتفاقية مكة للدفاع المشترك، التي وقعتها السعودية وتركيا وباكستان في مكة المكرمة، اليوم (الجمعة)، تؤسس لإطار إستراتيجي لشراكة دفاعية طويلة الأمد بين الدول الثلاث.

وقال وزير الدفاع، في تصريح نشره عبر حسابه الرسمي على منصة «إكس»، إن الاتفاقية تعزز الردع المشترك، وترسخ التنسيق والتكامل الدفاعي بين الدول الثلاث، بما يسهم في دعم أمن المنطقة واستقرارها، ويعزز الأمن والسلم على المستويين الإقليمي والدولي.

وتأتي تصريحات الأمير خالد بن سلمان عقب توقيع ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان، والرئيس التركي رجب طيب أردوغان، ورئيس وزراء جمهورية باكستان محمد شهباز شريف، اتفاقية مكة للدفاع المشترك، خلال القمة الثلاثية التي استضافتها مكة المكرمة.

وتهدف الاتفاقية إلى تعزيز الردع الجماعي وتطوير أوجه التعاون الدفاعي بين الدول الثلاث، كما تنص على أن أي اعتداء مسلح يستهدف إحدى الدول يُعد اعتداءً على جميع الأطراف، في إطار شراكة إستراتيجية تهدف إلى دعم الأمن والاستقرار ومواجهة التحديات المشتركة.

Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman confirmed that the Makkah Agreement for Joint Defense, signed by Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan in Makkah today (Friday), establishes a strategic framework for a long-term defense partnership among the three countries.

The Defense Minister stated in a statement published on his official account on the "X" platform that the agreement enhances joint deterrence and solidifies defense coordination and integration among the three countries, contributing to the support of regional security and stability, and strengthening security and peace at both the regional and international levels.

These remarks by Prince Khalid bin Salman come following the signing of the Makkah Agreement for Joint Defense by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and Prime Minister of the Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif during the trilateral summit hosted in Makkah.

The agreement aims to enhance collective deterrence and develop areas of defense cooperation among the three countries, and it stipulates that any armed attack targeting one of the countries is considered an attack on all parties, within the framework of a strategic partnership aimed at supporting security and stability and addressing common challenges.
