كشفت مصادر قيادية إسرائيلية، اليوم (الأربعاء)، دخول المواجهة بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران مرحلة حرب استنزاف طويلة الأمد ذات كثافة منخفضة في العمليات القتالية.

ونقل موقع «المونيتور» عن مصادر قيادية في إسرائيل: «يطلق الإيرانيون النار على ناقلة نفط أو اثنتين، ويستهدف الأمريكيون أهدافاً صغيرة نسبياً في جنوب إيران، مع تجنب طهران والبنية التحتية الكبرى»، مضيفة: «يرد الإيرانيون بإطلاق صواريخ على البحرين والكويت والإمارات، بل حتى الأردن وعُمان، وفي الوقت نفسه، يؤكد الجيش الأمريكي أن المضيق مفتوح، بينما يصر الإيرانيون على سيطرتهم عليه، هذه مواجهة منخفضة الشدة».

واعتبرت القيادة الإسرائيلية أن الرئيس الأمريكي، دونالد ترمب، لن يستأنف العمليات القتالية واسعة النطاق ضد إيران، على الأقل حتى الانتخابات النصفية للكونغرس المقررة في 3 نوفمبر، بينما ستواصل طهران شن هجمات نادرة، مع تجنب التصعيد الشامل.

وذكر أحد المصادر أن ترمب قد يوافق على سيطرة إيرانية جزئية على مضيق هرمز، وربما حتى على فرض رسوم جمركية إيرانية، إذا كان ذلك سيمكنه من ترك هذه القضية في الماضي.

وبحسب الموقع، فإن إسرائيل تخشى من أن الولايات المتحدة، على خلفية غياب إمكانية لإتمام الصراع على شروطها، قد تقدم على تنازلات لإيران تتعارض مع مصالح إسرائيل.

وأعلنت القيادة المركزية الأمريكية، اليوم، تنفيذ موجة جديدة من الضربات العسكرية ضد إيران، مؤكدة أن الهدف منها هو إضعاف القدرات العسكرية التي تستخدمها طهران لمهاجمة السفن التجارية في مضيق هرمز.

في المقابل، أفادت وسائل إعلام ومسؤولون إيرانيون باستهداف مواقع عدة في محافظة بوشهر وسقوط قتلى وجرحى في أحدث تصعيد للمواجهات بين البلدين.

Israeli leadership sources revealed today (Wednesday) that the confrontation between the United States and Iran has entered a long-term low-intensity war of attrition phase in combat operations.

The website "The Monitor" quoted leadership sources in Israel: "The Iranians are firing at one or two oil tankers, while the Americans are targeting relatively small objectives in southern Iran, avoiding Tehran and major infrastructure," adding: "The Iranians respond by launching missiles at Bahrain, Kuwait, the UAE, and even Jordan and Oman. At the same time, the U.S. military confirms that the strait is open, while the Iranians insist on their control over it; this is a low-intensity confrontation."

The Israeli leadership considered that U.S. President Donald Trump will not resume large-scale combat operations against Iran, at least until the midterm congressional elections scheduled for November 3, while Tehran will continue to carry out rare attacks, avoiding comprehensive escalation.

One source mentioned that Trump might agree to partial Iranian control over the Strait of Hormuz, and perhaps even to the imposition of Iranian tariffs, if it allows him to leave this issue in the past.

According to the site, Israel fears that the United States, in light of the lack of possibility to conclude the conflict on its terms, may make concessions to Iran that contradict Israel's interests.

The U.S. Central Command announced today the execution of a new wave of military strikes against Iran, confirming that the goal is to weaken the military capabilities that Tehran uses to attack commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

In contrast, Iranian media and officials reported targeting several sites in Bushehr province, resulting in casualties in the latest escalation of confrontations between the two countries.
