كشف الرئيس الإندونيسي برابوو سوبيانتو عن لقاء خاص جمعه بنظيره الكوري الجنوبي، لي جاي ميونغ، يطلب فيه الأخير تدخل إندونيسيا لفتح قناة حوار مغلقة وكسر الجمود مع كوريا الشمالية.
وأوضح سوبيانتو، خلال كلمة ألقاها أمام رؤساء غرف التجارة والصناعة الوطنية والإقليمية، أن هذا الطلب جاء خلال زيارته الأخيرة إلى سيئول، عندما بادره الرئيس الكوري الجنوبي بسؤال حول إمكانية قيامه بزيارة إلى بيونغ يانغ لتسهيل نوع من التواصل المباشر بين الجارتين.
ورأى الرئيس الإندونيسي في هذه اللفتة شهادة ناصعة على ثقة المجتمع الدولي في ثقل بلاده الدبلوماسي؛ مشيراً إلى أن جاكرتا ظلت متمسكةً بمسار خارجي مستقل يتبنى عدم الانحياز، وهو ما منحها قبولا استثنائيا لدى أطراف نادراً ما تتفق.
ولم يتردد سوبيانتو في إبداء جاهزيته لخوض هذه المهمة الشاقة، مؤكداً أنه أبدى استعداده التام للتحرك فور تلقيه طلباً رسمياً، حيث قال: "أجبت بكل احترام وأريحية.. إذا طُلِب مني الذهاب إلى كوريا الشمالية، فسأذهب".
وشدد الرئيس الإندونيسي على أن السياسة الصارمة التي تنتهجها بلاده بعدم التدخل في الشؤون الداخلية للدول الأخرى هي السلاح السحري الذي مكّن الدبلوماسية الإندونيسية من بناء جسور الثقة مع مختلف القوى المتصارعة، والتوازن بين مصالح متناقضة وسط أمواج السياسة الدولية التلاطمة.
Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto revealed a special meeting he had with his South Korean counterpart, Yoon Suk-yeol, in which the latter requested Indonesia's intervention to open a closed dialogue channel and break the deadlock with North Korea.
Subianto explained, during a speech he delivered before the heads of national and regional chambers of commerce and industry, that this request came during his recent visit to Seoul, when the South Korean president asked him about the possibility of visiting Pyongyang to facilitate some form of direct communication between the two neighbors.
The Indonesian president viewed this gesture as a clear testament to the international community's trust in his country's diplomatic weight; noting that Jakarta has maintained an independent foreign policy that embraces non-alignment, which has granted it exceptional acceptance among parties that rarely agree.
Subianto did not hesitate to express his readiness to undertake this challenging mission, affirming that he was fully prepared to act as soon as he received an official request, saying: "I responded with all due respect and ease.. If I am asked to go to North Korea, I will go."
The Indonesian president emphasized that his country's strict policy of non-interference in the internal affairs of other nations is the magic weapon that has enabled Indonesian diplomacy to build bridges of trust with various conflicting powers, balancing contradictory interests amidst the turbulent waves of international politics.
