أدان الأمين العام لمجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية جاسم محمد البديوي، بأشد العبارات، الجريمة التي ارتكبها مستعمرون بإحراق مسجد في قرية كور بمحافظة طولكرم، وكتابة عبارات عنصرية على جدرانه، في اعتداء يستهدف دور العبادة والمقدسات الإسلامية، ويشكل انتهاكًا صارخًا للقانون الدولي والقانون الدولي الإنساني، واستفزازًا لمشاعر المسلمين في أنحاء العالم.

وأكد أن هذه الجريمة النكراء تأتي في سياق سلسلة متواصلة من الانتهاكات والاعتداءات التي تستهدف الشعب الفلسطيني ومقدساته، محملًا قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي المسؤولية الكاملة عن هذه الجريمة وما يرافقها من اعتداءات متكررة، نتيجة استمرار سياسات الحماية والتغاضي عن اعتداءات المستعمرين، بما يشجع على الإفلات من العقاب والمحاسبة ويؤدي إلى تصعيد خطير يهدد الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة.

وشدد الأمين العام على أن استهداف دور العبادة والاعتداء عليها يمثل انتهاكًا سافرًا لحرمة الأماكن المقدسة، وتجاوزًا خطيرًا لكافة القيم الإنسانية والمواثيق الدولية التي تكفل حماية المواقع الدينية وصون حرية العبادة.

كما دعا المجتمع الدولي، ومجلس الأمن، والمنظمات الحقوقية والإنسانية، إلى الاضطلاع بمسؤولياتهم القانونية والأخلاقية، والتحرك العاجل لوقف هذه الانتهاكات الخطيرة، ومحاسبة مرتكبيها، وتوفير الحماية الدولية للشعب الفلسطيني ومقدساته، مؤكدًا أن استمرار الصمت الدولي إزاء هذه الجرائم يشجع على تكرارها ويقوض فرص تحقيق الأمن والسلام في المنطقة.

وجدد الأمين العام موقف مجلس التعاون الثابت والداعم للشعب الفلسطيني، وإقامة دولته المستقلة على حدود عام 1967 وعاصمتها القدس الشرقية، وفق قرارات الشرعية الدولية ومبادرة السلام العربية.

The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, strongly condemned the crime committed by colonizers by burning a mosque in the village of Kafr Qaddum in Tulkarm Governorate and writing racist slogans on its walls, in an attack targeting places of worship and Islamic sanctities, and constituting a blatant violation of international law and international humanitarian law, as well as a provocation to the feelings of Muslims around the world.

He affirmed that this heinous crime comes in the context of a continuous series of violations and assaults targeting the Palestinian people and their sanctities, holding the Israeli occupation forces fully responsible for this crime and the accompanying repeated assaults, as a result of the ongoing policies of protection and negligence towards the attacks of the colonizers, which encourages impunity and accountability and leads to a dangerous escalation that threatens security and stability in the region.

The Secretary-General emphasized that targeting places of worship and assaulting them represents a blatant violation of the sanctity of sacred sites and a serious transgression of all humanitarian values and international agreements that guarantee the protection of religious sites and the preservation of freedom of worship.

He also called on the international community, the Security Council, and human rights and humanitarian organizations to assume their legal and moral responsibilities, to take urgent action to stop these serious violations, to hold the perpetrators accountable, and to provide international protection for the Palestinian people and their sanctities, stressing that the continued international silence regarding these crimes encourages their recurrence and undermines the chances of achieving security and peace in the region.

The Secretary-General reiterated the firm and supportive position of the Gulf Cooperation Council for the Palestinian people and the establishment of their independent state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
