ارتكبت قوات الدعم السريع مجزرة جديدة راح ضحيتها أكثر من 16 شخصاً وأصيب العشرات، إثر غارة جوية نفذتها طائرة مسيّرة، استهدفت منطقة أندرو في محلية الطينة الحدودية بولاية شمال دارفور، قرب الحدود مع تشاد، اليوم (الأحد).

وأكدت مصادر ميدانية أن الهجوم استهدف تجمعاً للمدنيين في محيط إحدى آبار مياه الشرب، ما أدى إلى سقوط قتلى وجرحى، نُقل عدد منهم إلى مستشفى حدودي لتلقي العلاج. وأشارت المصادر إلى أن الغارة تسببت في نفوق عدد من الدواب التي يعتمد عليها سكان المنطقة في نقل المياه من الآبار إلى منازلهم.

وتشهد محلية الطينة وعدد من القرى التابعة لها هجمات متكررة بطائرات مسيّرة تابعة لقوات الدعم السريع، تستهدف مناطق تضم أعداداً كبيرة من النازحين الذين فروا من مدن في ولاية شمال دارفور سيطرت عليها القوات خلال فترات سابقة.

وتنتشر في المنطقة أعداد محدودة من القوات المشتركة المتحالفة مع الجيش السوداني، في ظل استمرار المعارك والتوترات الأمنية في إقليم دارفور.

وكانت مصادر سودانية أفادت بأن الجيش السوداني يواصل عمليات تأمين المناطق التي سيطر عليها أخيراً في ولاية شمال كردفان.

واشتدت المعارك في شمال كردفان في السودان، وأعلنت مجموعات متحالفة مع الجيش طرد قوات الدعم السريع من مناطق قرب مدينة بارا المحورية بعد يومين من مقتل 15 شخصاً بهجوم جوي لقوات الدعم السريع في الولاية ذاتها.

وتقع منطقة كردفان الغنية بالموارد على طريق حيوية تصل إقليم دارفور الذي تسيطر عليه الدعم السريع في الغرب بالخرطوم ومدن شرق السودان الخاضعة للجيش.

واندلعت الحرب بين الجيش وقوات الدعم السريع في أبريل 2023، وأسفرت حتى الآن عن مقتل عشرات الآلاف، وتشريد الملايين في ما تصفها الأمم المتحدة بأنها أكبر أزمة إنسانية في العالم.

ونشرت قوات الدعم السريع تعزيزات عسكرية حول مدينة الأبيض عاصمة شمال كردفان، ورفعت من وتيرة الهجمات الجوية، في وقت حذرت الأمم المتحدة ومنظمات إنسانية من هجوم وشيك على غرار الفاشر نهاية العام الماضي، والذي أكد خبراء الأمم المتحدة أنه حمل سمات الإبادة الجماعية.

The Rapid Support Forces committed a new massacre that resulted in the deaths of more than 16 people and injured dozens, following an airstrike carried out by a drone that targeted the Andro area in the border locality of Tine in North Darfur state, near the border with Chad, today (Sunday).

Field sources confirmed that the attack targeted a gathering of civilians around one of the drinking water wells, leading to casualties and injuries, with several being transferred to a border hospital for treatment. The sources indicated that the airstrike caused the death of several livestock that the residents of the area rely on to transport water from the wells to their homes.

The locality of Tine and several of its affiliated villages are witnessing repeated attacks by drones belonging to the Rapid Support Forces, targeting areas that include large numbers of displaced people who fled from cities in North Darfur state that were previously controlled by the forces.

There are limited numbers of joint forces allied with the Sudanese army deployed in the area, amid ongoing battles and security tensions in the Darfur region.

Sudanese sources reported that the Sudanese army continues operations to secure the areas it recently took control of in North Kordofan state.

Fighting has intensified in North Kordofan in Sudan, and groups allied with the army announced the expulsion of the Rapid Support Forces from areas near the strategic city of Bara, following two days after 15 people were killed in an airstrike by the Rapid Support Forces in the same state.

The resource-rich Kordofan region is located on a vital route connecting the Darfur region, controlled by the Rapid Support Forces in the west, to Khartoum and the eastern Sudan cities under the army's control.

The war between the army and the Rapid Support Forces erupted in April 2023, resulting so far in the deaths of tens of thousands and the displacement of millions in what the United Nations describes as the largest humanitarian crisis in the world.

The Rapid Support Forces have deployed military reinforcements around the city of Al-Obeid, the capital of North Kordofan, and have increased the frequency of airstrikes, while the United Nations and humanitarian organizations have warned of an imminent attack similar to that on El Fasher at the end of last year, which UN experts confirmed bore the hallmarks of genocide.
