أكد الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب أن الولايات المتحدة تمتلك مخزونات «هائلة» من الذخائر، لا سيما من بعض الأنواع الإستراتيجية، مشددًا على أن شركات الصناعات الدفاعية تواصل زيادة الإنتاج بوتيرة غير مسبوقة لتلبية حاجات القوات المسلحة الأمريكية.

وقال ترمب، في منشور عبر منصته «تروث سوشيال»، إن كميات كبيرة من الذخائر يتم تصنيعها وشحنها باستمرار إلى الولايات المتحدة كلما دعت الحاجة، مضيفًا أن قطاع الصناعات الدفاعية يشهد توسعًا تاريخيًا من خلال إنشاء أكبر عدد من المصانع وخطوط الإنتاج في تاريخ البلاد.

وأوضح الرئيس الأمريكي أن هذا التوسع يأتي في إطار تعزيز القدرات العسكرية الأمريكية ورفع جاهزية القوات المسلحة، في ظل التحديات الأمنية العالمية وتزايد الطلب على الذخائر والمعدات العسكرية.

وفي السياق ذاته، وجه ترمب انتقادات حادة لمن وصفهم بـ«مسربي» المعلومات المتعلقة بالمخزونات العسكرية، معتبرًا أن نشر مثل هذه المعلومات يمثل عملًا «خيانياً» يضر بالأمن القومي الأمريكي.

وأضاف أن السلطات المختصة تلاحق المسؤولين عن تلك التسريبات، مؤكدًا أن إدارته ستسعى إلى فرض «أحكام سجن طويلة» بحق كل من يثبت تورطه في تسريب معلومات حساسة تتعلق بالقدرات الدفاعية الأمريكية.

وتأتي تصريحات ترمب في وقت تشهد فيه الولايات المتحدة نقاشًا متزايدًا بشأن حجم مخزون الذخائر وقدرة الصناعات الدفاعية على تلبية الحاجات العسكرية، في ظل استمرار دعم واشنطن لحلفائها والانخراط في تعزيز جاهزية قواتها لمواجهة التحديات الأمنية الدولية.

U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed that the United States has "huge" stockpiles of ammunition, particularly of certain strategic types, emphasizing that defense industry companies continue to increase production at an unprecedented rate to meet the needs of the U.S. armed forces.

Trump stated in a post on his platform "Truth Social" that large quantities of ammunition are continuously being manufactured and shipped to the United States as needed, adding that the defense industry is experiencing historic expansion through the establishment of the largest number of factories and production lines in the country's history.

The U.S. President explained that this expansion comes as part of enhancing American military capabilities and increasing the readiness of the armed forces, in light of global security challenges and the rising demand for ammunition and military equipment.

In this context, Trump sharply criticized those he referred to as "leakers" of information related to military stockpiles, considering that the publication of such information constitutes a "treasonous" act that harms U.S. national security.

He added that the relevant authorities are pursuing those responsible for these leaks, affirming that his administration will seek to impose "long prison sentences" on anyone proven to be involved in leaking sensitive information related to U.S. defense capabilities.

Trump's statements come at a time when the United States is witnessing an increasing debate about the size of ammunition stockpiles and the defense industry's ability to meet military needs, amid ongoing U.S. support for its allies and engagement in enhancing the readiness of its forces to face international security challenges.
