وجه الجيش البريطاني رسالة دعم خاصة إلى منتخب إنجلترا قبل ساعات من المواجهة المرتقبة أمام النرويج، مساء السبت، في الدور ربع النهائي من بطولة كأس العالم 2026، في خطوة تعكس حجم الاهتمام الرسمي والشعبي بمشوار «الأسود الثلاثة» في البطولة.

ونشرت وزارة الدفاع البريطانية، عبر حسابها الرسمي على منصة «إكس»، مقطع فيديو حمل شعار: «النرويج قد تجدف.. لكن إنجلترا تزأر»،تضمن مشاهد لأفراد من البحرية الملكية والجيش البريطاني وسلاح الجو الملكي وهم يوجهون رسائل التشجيع للمنتخب من مواقع انتشارهم المختلفة حول العالم.وأظهر الفيديو بحارة على متن سفينة حربية يرفعون أعلام إنجلترا، إلى جانب جنود من القوات البرية وعناصر من القوات الجوية الملكية وهم يهتفون دعما للفريق، قبل أن يُختتم برسالة جاء فيها: «حظا سعيدا الليلة للفريق.. من قواتنا المسلحة حول العالم.» وسرعان ما حصد الفيديو تفاعلا واسعا على منصات التواصل الاجتماعي، حيث اعتبره كثيرون رسالة تعبئة معنوية للمنتخب الإنجليزي قبل واحدة من أهم مباريات البطولة.
