حسمت وزارة الداخلية المصرية الجدل الذي أثير عبر منصات التواصل الاجتماعي بشأن شاحنة قيل إنها استُخدمت في تهريب أجانب إلى داخل البلاد، مؤكدة أن التحقيقات كشفت وقائع مختلفة تمامًا، تتعلق بنشاط غير مشروع للتنقيب عن خام الذهب في محافظة البحر الأحمر.
وأوضحت الوزارة، في بيان مصور، أن الأجهزة الأمنية تمكنت من ضبط شاحنة محملة بنحو ستة أطنان من أحجار الكوارتز، إلى جانب توقيف سائقها وأربعة أشخاص يحملون جنسية أجنبية، للاشتباه في تورطهم في أعمال تنقيب غير قانونية عن الذهب.
وجاء توضيح الوزارة عقب تداول مقطع فيديو ادعى ناشره أن المركبة كانت تُستخدم في تهريب أجانب عبر محافظة قنا، وهو ما نفته نتائج التحريات والإجراءات الأمنية.
وبحسب البيان، تعود الواقعة إلى الرابع من يونيو 2026، عندما أوقفت الأجهزة الأمنية الشاحنة أثناء مرورها في نطاق قسم شرطة قنا، حيث عُثر بداخلها على شحنة كبيرة من أحجار الكوارتز، إضافة إلى الأشخاص الأربعة.
وأشارت الوزارة إلى أن التحقيقات الأولية تضمنت أقوال السائق ومرافقيه، الذين أقروا بمشاركتهم في التنقيب غير المشروع عن خام الذهب داخل محافظة البحر الأحمر، مؤكدين أن وجودهم داخل الشاحنة لا يرتبط بأي محاولة تسلل أو تهريب أشخاص عبر الحدود.
وعلى إثر ذلك، تحفظت السلطات على الشاحنة والشحنة المضبوطة، واتخذت الإجراءات القانونية بحق المشتبه بهم، فيما باشرت النيابة العامة استكمال التحقيقات.
The Egyptian Ministry of Interior has resolved the controversy that arose on social media platforms regarding a truck that was said to have been used for smuggling foreigners into the country, confirming that investigations revealed completely different facts related to illegal activities for gold ore mining in the Red Sea Governorate.
The ministry clarified, in a video statement, that security forces managed to seize a truck loaded with about six tons of quartz stones, in addition to detaining its driver and four individuals holding foreign nationality, on suspicion of their involvement in illegal gold mining activities.
This clarification from the ministry came after a video was circulated claiming that the vehicle was used for smuggling foreigners through Qena Governorate, which was denied by the results of the investigations and security procedures.
According to the statement, the incident dates back to June 4, 2026, when security forces stopped the truck while it was passing through the jurisdiction of the Qena Police Department, where a large shipment of quartz stones was found inside, along with the four individuals.
The ministry indicated that initial investigations included statements from the driver and his companions, who admitted to their participation in illegal gold ore mining activities within the Red Sea Governorate, confirming that their presence inside the truck was not related to any attempt to infiltrate or smuggle people across the borders.
As a result, the authorities retained the truck and the seized shipment, and legal actions were taken against the suspects, while the public prosecution began to complete the investigations.
