لم يكد قطاع التقنية العالمي يستفيق من الصدمات المتتالية، حتى استيقظ وادي السيليكون على وقع «كابوس تكنولوجي» جديد قادم من بكين، بعدما أطلقت الشركة الصينية الناشئة «مونشوت إيه آي» نموذجها الأحدث (Kimi K3)، لتشتعل المنافسة وتدق أجراس الإنذار في وادي السيليكون والبيت الأبيض والأسواق المالية الأمريكية.
وفي غضون ساعات من إطلاقه، حقق النموذج الصيني مفاجأة مدوية بتصدره ترتيب «أرينا» العالمي لأدوات البرمجة المعتمدة على الذكاء الاصطناعي، وهو إنجاز غير مسبوق لنموذج صيني، في خطوة وصفتها الأوساط التقنية بأنها إعلان عن كسر الهيمنة الأمريكية.
رعب في وول ستريت
سادت حالة من القلق بين المستثمرين في وول ستريت ومسؤولي الإدارة الأمريكية، إذ لا يتمثل الخوف في مجرد تفوق تقني عابر، بل في تهديد محتمل لنموذج أعمال شركات كبرى مثل «OpenAI» و«Anthropic».
فإذا تمكنت الصين من تطوير نماذج تضاهي نظيراتها الأمريكية من حيث الجودة، ولكن بتكلفة منخفضة جداً، ومعتمدة على شيفرة برمجية مفتوحة تتيح للمطورين تعديلها بحرية، فلن تتمكن الشركات الأمريكية من الاستمرار في فرض أسعارها المرتفعة، ما قد يهدد نموذج أعمالها.
وأعاد هذا الإطلاق إلى الأذهان ما حدث مطلع عام 2025، عندما فاجأت شركة «ديب سيك» الصينية الأسواق العالمية بإطلاق نموذج متقدم بتكلفة لا تمثل سوى جزء ضئيل من التكلفة المعتادة، وهو ما أدى آنذاك إلى محو مئات المليارات من الدولارات من القيمة السوقية لشركات التكنولوجيا الأمريكية خلال وقت قصير.
وقال مدير موقع «أرينا»، أناستاسيوس أنجيلوبولوس، إن «كيمي K3» قد يدفع المستثمرين إلى «إعادة تقييم جذرية لأسواق المال»، لأنه يقوض مفهوم الهيمنة الأمريكية، ويدفع الشركات حول العالم إلى تفضيل البرمجيات الصينية المجانية التي تعمل محلياً على الأجهزة، دون الحاجة إلى مشاركة البيانات مع شركات أمريكية خارجية.
كما دخل المستثمر البارز والمستشار التقني للبيت الأبيض ديفيد ساكس على خط الجدل عبر منصة «إكس»، موجهاً انتقادات حادة للسياسات الأمريكية الحالية، ومؤكداً أن نجاح «كيمي» يثبت أن الهيمنة الأمريكية أصبحت مهددة بالفعل.
واعتبر ساكس أن السياسيين في واشنطن يعرقلون تقدم بلادهم عبر فرض لوائح تنظيمية معقدة، وإعاقة إنشاء مراكز بيانات جديدة، والسعي إلى تأسيس وكالة فدرالية لتقييد النماذج القوية قبل طرحها، مختتماً حديثه بتحذير قال فيه: «هكذا تخسر سباق الذكاء الاصطناعي تماماً».
The global tech sector had barely recovered from successive shocks when Silicon Valley awoke to the sound of a new "technological nightmare" coming from Beijing, after the Chinese startup "Moonshot AI" launched its latest model (Kimi K3), igniting competition and sounding alarm bells in Silicon Valley, the White House, and the American financial markets.
Within hours of its launch, the Chinese model achieved a stunning surprise by topping the global "Arena" ranking of AI-based programming tools, an unprecedented achievement for a Chinese model, in a move that tech circles described as an announcement of the breaking of American dominance.
Panic on Wall Street
A state of anxiety prevailed among investors on Wall Street and U.S. administration officials, as the fear was not merely of a fleeting technological superiority, but of a potential threat to the business models of major companies like "OpenAI" and "Anthropic."
If China can develop models that rival their American counterparts in quality, but at a very low cost, and based on open-source code that allows developers to modify it freely, American companies will not be able to continue imposing their high prices, which could threaten their business models.
This launch recalled what happened in early 2025, when the Chinese company "Deep Seek" surprised global markets by launching an advanced model at a cost that represented only a tiny fraction of the usual cost, which at that time led to the wiping out of hundreds of billions of dollars from the market value of American tech companies in a short period.
Anastasios Angelopoulos, the director of the "Arena" website, stated that "Kimi K3" could push investors to "a radical reassessment of financial markets," as it undermines the concept of American dominance and drives companies around the world to prefer free Chinese software that operates locally on devices, without the need to share data with external American companies.
Prominent investor and White House tech advisor David Sachs also entered the fray via the "X" platform, sharply criticizing current American policies and asserting that the success of "Kimi" proves that American dominance is indeed threatened.
Sachs considered that politicians in Washington are hindering their country's progress by imposing complex regulatory frameworks, obstructing the establishment of new data centers, and seeking to establish a federal agency to restrict powerful models before their launch, concluding his remarks with a warning that said: "This is how you completely lose the AI race."
