منعت أمانة جدة تسويق أكثر من طنين من الحلويات والمواد الغذائية غير الصالحة للاستهلاك، خلال حملة ميدانية مشتركة نفذتها ضمن نطاق بلدية الجامعة، في إطار جهودها الرقابية المستمرة لحماية الصحة العامة وتعزيز سلامة الغذاء.

وأوضح المدير العام لرصد ومعالجة الظواهر السلبية بالأمانة ياسر بخش، أن الفرق الميدانية باشرت موقعًا تبيّن أنه يُستخدم معملًا غير مرخص لإنتاج أصناف متنوعة من الحلويات داخل شقة سكنية تفتقر إلى الاشتراطات البلدية والصحية، مشيرًا إلى أن الموقع كان يُستغل من قبل عمالة مخالفة لتصنيع منتجات تُوزع على عدد من المطاعم.

وأفاد بأن الحملة أسفرت عن ضبط وإغلاق المعمل المخالف، وإتلاف جميع المواد الغذائية المضبوطة التي تجاوزت كميتها طنين، إلى جانب مصادرة المعدات والآلات والأدوات المستخدمة في عمليات التصنيع.

The Jeddah Municipality has banned the marketing of more than two tons of sweets and food products that are unfit for consumption, during a joint field campaign carried out within the jurisdiction of the University Municipality, as part of its ongoing regulatory efforts to protect public health and enhance food safety.

The General Director for Monitoring and Addressing Negative Phenomena at the municipality, Yasser Baksh, explained that field teams began operations at a site that was found to be used as an unlicensed factory for producing various types of sweets inside a residential apartment that lacked municipal and health requirements. He pointed out that the site was being exploited by illegal workers to manufacture products distributed to several restaurants.

He reported that the campaign resulted in the seizure and closure of the illegal factory, the destruction of all seized food products that exceeded two tons, in addition to the confiscation of the equipment, machines, and tools used in the manufacturing processes.
