في محاولة بدت كأنها مشهد من فيلم، لجأ رجل صيني إلى حيلة غير مسبوقة للهروب من الملاحقة القضائية، بعدما ادعى وفاته ونظم جنازة وهمية بمساعدة أفراد من أسرته، قبل أن تكشف السلطات الخدعة وتعيده لمواجهة التهم الموجهة إليه.
وبحسب وسائل إعلام صينية، فإن الرجل، المعروف باسم «سي»، كان قد أُلقي القبض عليه في يناير من العام الماضي بمدينة أنيانغ في مقاطعة خنان، على خلفية اتهامه بالقيادة تحت تأثير الكحول، قبل الإفراج عنه بكفالة لحين استكمال التحقيقات.
وكشفت التحقيقات أن المتهم لم تكن هذه المرة الأولى التي يواجه فيها مخالفات مشابهة، إذ سبق أن عوقب مرتين بسبب القيادة دون رخصة وهو في حالة سكر، الأمر الذي دفعه إلى وضع خطة للهروب من العقوبة عبر اختلاق قصة وفاته.
وتضمنت الخطة شراء تابوت، ونثر عبوات أدوية فارغة داخل منزله، إضافة إلى خفض درجة حرارة جسده لإيهام المحيطين به بأنه توفي نتيجة تناول جرعة زائدة من الأدوية. ولم يتوقف الأمر عند ذلك، إذ شارك أفراد من أسرته في تنظيم جنازة وهمية دعمت رواية وفاته.
لكن الحيلة لم تنطلِ على السلطات، التي واصلت متابعة القضية وتمكنت من كشف تفاصيل الخطة وتعقب المتهم بعد فراره إلى جنوب الصين، حيث ألقت القبض عليه مجدداً ليواجه الإجراءات القانونية والتهم المنسوبة إليه.
وتحوّلت الواقعة إلى مثال لأساليب الهروب غير المعتادة من العدالة، بعدما انتهت محاولة «الاختفاء» بعودة المتهم إلى دائرة التحقيقات بدلاً من إغلاق ملف القضية.
In a scene that seemed like something out of a movie, a Chinese man resorted to an unprecedented trick to escape prosecution, after claiming his own death and organizing a fake funeral with the help of family members, before authorities uncovered the ruse and brought him back to face the charges against him.
According to Chinese media, the man, known as "Xi," had been arrested in January of last year in Anyang, Henan Province, on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, before being released on bail pending further investigations.
Investigations revealed that this was not the first time the accused faced similar offenses, as he had previously been punished twice for driving without a license while intoxicated, which led him to devise a plan to escape punishment by fabricating a story about his death.
The plan included buying a coffin, scattering empty medication bottles around his home, and lowering his body temperature to convince those around him that he had died from an overdose of drugs. The scheme did not stop there, as family members participated in organizing a fake funeral to support the narrative of his death.
However, the trick did not fool the authorities, who continued to monitor the case and managed to uncover the details of the plan and track down the accused after he fled to southern China, where he was arrested again to face legal proceedings and the charges against him.
The incident turned into an example of unusual methods of escaping justice, as the attempt to "disappear" ended with the accused returning to the investigation circle instead of closing the case file.
