كشفت الإعلامية المصرية خلود زهران تعرضها وابنتها للغرق أثناء قضاء عطلتها الصيفية بالساحل الشمالي، مؤكدة أنه لولا تدخل المنقذين لإنقاذهما لكانتا في عداد الموتى.
سحب الأمواج
ونشرت زهران مقطع فيديو عبر صفحتها على إنستغرام مساء أمس (الأربعاء)، وذلك بعد إنقاذها وابنتها مباشرة، روت خلاله تفاصيل اللحظات العصيبة في عرض البحر، مشيرة إلى سحب الأمواج لها وابنتها رغم أنهما كانتا تسبحان قريباً من الشاطئ.
وقالت: "الحمد لله والشكر لله، ربنا كتب لنا عمراً جديداً"، مضيفة: "في لحظة الموج سحبنا داخل البحر أنا وبنتي، وللأسف حتى لو بتعرف تعوم، فيه موج بيكون أقوى بكتير من أي محاولة للمقاومة". ووجهت رسالة لجميع المصطافين قائلة: "أرجوكم، خلو بالكم جداً من البحر، ومتستهونوش بأي موج مهما كان شكله بسيط"، معربة عن شكرها لأربعة من المنقذين الذين قاموا بانتشالها وطفلتها من عرض البحر، مؤكدة أنه لولا بطولتهم لكانت في عداد الموتى.
إغلاق الشواطئ
وفي السياق أغلقت السلطات الأمنية في مصر، (الأحد) الماضي، عدداً كبيراً من الشواطئ، مواصلة رفع الرايات الحمراء والتحذيرية، تزامناً مع اضطراب حاد في حركة البحر، وارتفاع عال للأمواج، ونشاط غير معتاد للرياح، وسط تحذيرات شديدة للمصطافين من عواقب السباحة.
وكانت عضو المركز الإعلامي بالهيئة العامة للأرصاد الجوية منار غانم قد أكدت في تصريحات سابقة، أن نشاط الرياح على سطح البحر المتوسط أدى إلى اضطراب الملاحة وارتفاع الأمواج بين 2 و2.5 متر في بعض الشواطئ، مشددة على أن السباحة غير آمنة تماماً في الشواطئ المفتوحة بسبب تيارات السحب القاتلة.
كما بيّنت غانم أن التحذيرات الرسمية تقتصر على الشواطئ التي تشهد ارتفاعاً في الأمواج ونشاطاً للرياح، وليست عامة على الساحل الشمالي، موضحة أن هذه الظواهر طبيعية في هذا الوقت من العام.
The Egyptian media personality Khaloud Zahraan revealed that she and her daughter nearly drowned while spending their summer vacation on the North Coast, confirming that if it weren't for the lifeguards' intervention to rescue them, they would have been among the dead.
Wave Currents
Zahraan posted a video on her Instagram page last night (Wednesday), shortly after she and her daughter were rescued, in which she recounted the details of the harrowing moments at sea, noting the wave currents pulling her and her daughter despite the fact that they were swimming close to the shore.
She said: "Thank God and praise be to God, He has granted us a new life," adding: "In a moment, the waves pulled us into the sea, me and my daughter, and unfortunately, even if you know how to swim, there are waves that are much stronger than any attempt to resist." She sent a message to all beachgoers saying: "Please, be very careful of the sea, and do not underestimate any wave, no matter how simple it looks," expressing her gratitude to four lifeguards who rescued her and her child from the sea, confirming that without their bravery, she would have been among the dead.
Beach Closures
In this context, security authorities in Egypt closed a large number of beaches last Sunday, continuing to raise red and warning flags, coinciding with severe disturbances in the sea's movement, high wave heights, and unusual wind activity, amid severe warnings to beachgoers about the consequences of swimming.
A member of the media center at the General Authority for Meteorology, Manar Ghanem, had previously confirmed in statements that the wind activity over the Mediterranean Sea led to navigation disturbances and wave heights between 2 and 2.5 meters at some beaches, stressing that swimming is completely unsafe at open beaches due to deadly current flows.
Ghanem also clarified that the official warnings are limited to the beaches experiencing high waves and wind activity, and are not general for the North Coast, explaining that these phenomena are natural at this time of year.
