أعلنت الشرطة الإسبانية، أمس (الثلاثاء)، تفكيك شبكة إجرامية يُشتبه في تجنيدها مهاجرات قاصرات ونقلهن من مراكز الرعاية في جزيرة غران كناريا إلى البر الرئيسي في إسبانيا وفرنسا، ويُعتقد أن بعضهن تعرضن للاستغلال الجنسي.
وتأتي هذه القضية في وقت عاد ملف الهجرة إلى صدارة النقاش في عدد من الدول الأوروبية، بعد وصول أعداد كبيرة من المهاجرين غير النظاميين من المغرب إلى جيب سبتة الإسباني الشهر الماضي، بينهم مئات القاصرين غير المصحوبين بذويهم.
وأوضح الحرس المدني الإسباني أن التحقيق بدأ بعد عودة فتاة مهاجرة من فرنسا إلى إسبانيا، كانت تخضع لرعاية السلطات في غران كناريا، وأبلغت المحققين بأنها غادرت الجزيرة بعدما تلقت وعداً بالحصول على عمل.
وبحسب بيان للحرس المدني، كشفت التحقيقات عن حالات مماثلة لعدد من الفتيات اللاتي غادرن مراكز الرعاية من دون وثائقهن الشخصية، قبل أن يتبين للمحققين وجود صلة بين بعضهن ورحلات جوية إلى البر الإسباني.
ووفقاً للتحقيقات، يُشتبه في أن أفراد الشبكة استغلوا أوضاع الفتيات الهشة، وعرضوا مساعدتهن على مغادرة جزر الكناري، مع توفير هويات ووثائق سفر مزورة وترتيب تنقلهن جواً وبراً.
وقال الحرس المدني إن الهدف كان تسهيل مغادرة الفتيات للجزر ونقلهن لاحقاً إلى البر الرئيسي في إسبانيا وفرنسا، حيث يُعتقد أن بعضهن تعرضن للاستغلال الجنسي.
وتمكن المحققون من إنقاذ ضحيتين ومنع أربع قاصرات أخريات من مغادرة الجزيرة، فيما أوقف خمسة أشخاص، بينهم قاصر، خلال خمس عمليات تفتيش في غران كناريا.
وتأتي هذه القضية في ظل ضغوط متزايدة تواجهها السلطات الإسبانية في ملف الهجرة والقاصرين غير المصحوبين. ووفق أرقام الحكومة الإسبانية، دخل نحو 72 ألف مهاجر بصورة غير نظامية إلى سبتة يومي 30 و31 يوليو، عاد نحو 70 ألفاً منهم إلى المغرب.
وقالت وزيرة الشباب والطفولة الإسبانية، سيرا ريغو، الجمعة، إن السلطات سجلت 1342 قاصراً مهاجراً غير مصحوب في سبتة عقب التدفق الجماعي من المغرب.
وحذرت منظمات إغاثة من المخاطر التي يواجهها هؤلاء القاصرون، مشيرة إلى أن عدداً كبيراً منهم ينام في العراء بشوارع سبتة، ما يجعلهم أكثر عرضة للإساءة والاستغلال.
The Spanish police announced yesterday (Tuesday) the dismantling of a criminal network suspected of recruiting underage female migrants and transporting them from care centers in Gran Canaria to the mainland in Spain and France, with some believed to have been subjected to sexual exploitation.
This case comes at a time when the issue of migration has returned to the forefront of discussions in several European countries, following the arrival of large numbers of irregular migrants from Morocco to the Spanish enclave of Ceuta last month, including hundreds of unaccompanied minors.
The Spanish Civil Guard explained that the investigation began after a migrant girl returned from France to Spain, who was under the care of authorities in Gran Canaria, and informed investigators that she left the island after receiving a promise of employment.
According to a statement from the Civil Guard, investigations revealed similar cases of several girls who left care centers without their personal documents, before investigators discovered a connection between some of them and flights to the Spanish mainland.
According to the investigations, it is suspected that members of the network exploited the vulnerable situations of the girls, offering to assist them in leaving the Canary Islands, while providing fake identities and travel documents and arranging their transport by air and land.
The Civil Guard stated that the goal was to facilitate the girls' departure from the islands and later transport them to the mainland in Spain and France, where some are believed to have been subjected to sexual exploitation.
Investigators managed to rescue two victims and prevent four other minors from leaving the island, while five individuals, including a minor, were arrested during five search operations in Gran Canaria.
This case comes amid increasing pressure faced by Spanish authorities regarding the issue of migration and unaccompanied minors. According to figures from the Spanish government, about 72,000 migrants entered Ceuta irregularly on July 30 and 31, with around 70,000 of them returning to Morocco.
Spanish Minister of Youth and Childhood, Sira Rego, stated on Friday that authorities recorded 1,342 unaccompanied minor migrants in Ceuta following the mass influx from Morocco.
Relief organizations have warned of the dangers faced by these minors, noting that a large number of them sleep outdoors on the streets of Ceuta, making them more vulnerable to abuse and exploitation.
