في مهمة جديدة لتعزيز قدراتها في مجال الملاحة الفضائية، أرسلت اليابان قمراً صناعياً جديداً إلى مداره، في خطوة تستهدف توسيع منظومة الأقمار الملاحية التي تعتمد عليها في تحسين خدمات تحديد المواقع والملاحة.
وأطلقت وكالة استكشاف الفضاء اليابانية «جاكسا» صاروخ «إتش 3» من مركز تانيغاشيما الفضائي، حاملاً القمر الملاحي «ميشيبيكي 7». وبعد نحو 29 دقيقة من الإقلاع، نجحت المرحلة العليا من الصاروخ في وضع القمر في المدار المستهدف.
وينضم «ميشيبيكي 7» إلى منظومة الأقمار الصناعية اليابانية للملاحة «QZSS»، التي طورتها اليابان وتعمل عبر مدارات مرتفعة ومتزامنة مع دوران الأرض، بهدف توفير إشارات ملاحة أكثر دقة واستقراراً.
وتتوافق منظومة «QZSS» مع نظام تحديد المواقع العالمي «GPS»، ما يتيح استخدام النظامين بشكل متكامل لتوفير خدمات الملاحة في مناطق من آسيا وأوقيانوسيا القريبة من اليابان من حيث خطوط الطول.
ويبلغ ارتفاع صاروخ «إتش 3» نحو 187 قدماً، وكانت أولى رحلاته في مارس 2023، قبل أن ينفذ ثماني عمليات إطلاق ناجحة، وصولاً إلى المهمة الأخيرة.
ومن المقرر أن تضم منظومة «QZSS» مستقبلاً 11 قمراً صناعياً، في حين تعمل حالياً خمسة أقمار تابعة لها في المدار، مع استمرار اليابان في توسيع قدراتها الفضائية وتعزيز بنيتها الخاصة بخدمات الملاحة.
In a new mission to enhance its capabilities in the field of space navigation, Japan has sent a new satellite into orbit, in a move aimed at expanding the satellite navigation system it relies on to improve positioning and navigation services.
The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) launched the "H3" rocket from the Tanegashima Space Center, carrying the navigation satellite "Michibiki 7". About 29 minutes after liftoff, the upper stage of the rocket successfully placed the satellite into the targeted orbit.
"Michibiki 7" joins Japan's satellite navigation system "QZSS", which has been developed by Japan and operates via high and geostationary orbits, aiming to provide more accurate and stable navigation signals.
The "QZSS" system is compatible with the Global Positioning System (GPS), allowing the two systems to be used integrally to provide navigation services in areas of Asia and Oceania close to Japan in terms of longitude.
The "H3" rocket stands about 187 feet tall, and its first flight was in March 2023, before successfully completing eight launch operations, leading up to the latest mission.
The "QZSS" system is expected to include 11 satellites in the future, while currently five of its satellites are operating in orbit, as Japan continues to expand its space capabilities and enhance its infrastructure for navigation services.
